One of the truly enjoyable consequences of the Covid pandemic had been the return to clear blue skies. The lack of plane flights and emissions from all the myriad processes of human endeavors revealed again the true majesty of our planet, especially The Gorge. LA experienced clear skies and various iconic mountains around the world reasserted their presence.
While these contrail shapes certainly draw our attention, they are also reminders of the return of air pollution in all its forms. The pandemic provided us a glimpse of what may still be possible for our planet Earth.
